Let me tell you about a decision that changed our financial trajectory forever. It didn't involve sophisticated algorithms, insider information, or a finance degree. Just a dinner party, some wine, and what many would consider a foolishly risky move.

I was at a friend's dinner party talking with Andy, who mentioned he was part of an investment group. They had formed an LLC together and were pooling money to invest in various opportunities — some real estate, some other ventures.
